| Bioghist: | Born on the 9th September 1919. Completed her general training at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport 1941-1944 and was subsequently a ward sister there until 1945. Became a Sister at St Thomas' Hospital, Stockport from 1945-1948 (going part-time in 1947) and was a District Nurse 1948-1951. Worked for Stockport Corporation/Council from 1948-1962 as: Stockport Ring Mills Nursery Matron 1951-1954; Stockport Education Dept School Nurse 1955-1957 and Stockport Home Nursing Service 1957-1959, then part-time 1959-1960. Then Margaret worked at Mauldeth Home from 1960-1962 in Manchester.She died on the 4th December 2001. |
